Research
Seven areas, one mission: trustworthy AI with real impact
From foundational methods to deployment. Our researchers advance Machine Learning, Data Science, Robotics, NLP, Multi-Agent Systems, and Optimization.
Two complementary lenses. LIACC organises its work along two axes. Research areas are the methods and disciplines listed below. These are Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Intelligent Robotics, Intelligent Simulation, Complex Systems, Declarative Programming and Software Engineering. Thematic lines are the application domains where those methods create impact. These are Health, Smart Cities, Industry & Services, Public Administration, Infrastructures, Entertainment and Human/Machine Interaction. A researcher or project usually sits at the intersection of both.
