SIMSEA is a research project at LIACC, the Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science of the University of Porto. A simulator of fish resources in the Azorean sea, identifying fishing zones and generating boat behaviour to characterise fishing activity.
About SIMSEA
SIMSEA designed and programmed a simulator of fish resources in the Azorean sea, identifying fishing zones, generating boat behaviour and thus characterising fishing activity in the region. The prototype model was discussed and presented in the Autonomous Region of the Azores. Reference M3.3.B/ORG.R.C/0000026/2013/1.
Timeline and funding
SIMSEA has concluded. It ran from 2016 to 2020.
